Biblical Studies & Theology at Southwestern College

Biblical Studies and Theology compliment General Education by offering the student a contemporary, academic study of the Bible. Using the grammatical-historical method of interpretation, courses provide foundational knowledge of the Old and New Testament, which affords a basis on which to construct well-reasoned theological principles and personal applications.

In addition, the student develops an understanding of other worldviews, religions, and contemporary issues. All faculty are conservative evangelical Christians but realize that intellectual honesty demands exposing the students to differing points of view in order to prepare them for contemporary life.
