Education Department at Southwestern College
The field of education is the only profession that trains those who will serve in all other professions. The education major at Southwestern College is designed with this idea in mind. God's Word and His Truths are foundational in all course work and the Arizona Professional Teaching Standards are addressed throughout the program of study. SWC Education graduates leave the institution ready to teach in their area of specialty and are in great demand locally and abroad.
Southwestern College’s Education Program trains students in the art and science of teaching. They are given the information and training necessary to develop into skillful educators. Each education student is provided with foundational courses upon which the educational process is developed. The expectation is that students will develop into practicing teachers who are able to fully develop the students they will teach in the future.
