Southwestern College does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, national or ethnic origin, handicaps or age in the administration of its financial aid programs.

All scholarships are awarded to students who have completed the college's admissions requirements and have registered as a full-time student. It is, therefore, in the student's best interest to complete the admissions process at the earliest possible date.

Most scholarships are awarded for one year and are divided evenly between the fall and spring semesters. The student must reapply for all scholarships each academic year. Scholarships are awarded with the understanding that a student will complete the semester for which the award is received. A student must be in good standing and making satisfactory progress in order to receive a scholarship. No student may receive scholarships from Southwestern College in excess of full tuition. Southwestern College scholarships are nontransferable and cannot be stacked unless specifically indicated.

Beginning in the fall of 2007, completion of the FAFSA is required to apply for all scholarships or grants. Federal or State grants received offset institutional scholarships or are applied to fees. Renewal is not automatic; student must reapply each year. Renewal is not automatic; student must reapply each year.
