Living away from family and finally being on your own is both a scary and exciting time. It is my prayer that the Southwestern College housing will be a place where students will feel welcomed with open arms - almost like a new home. And what makes living at SWC so unique is the feeling that you are "home." With our brand new building and amazing students, it's hard not to live on campus and feel home.
However, I know that college is also that time for students to grow, make decisions on their own, and, ultimately, learn about life! That is what campus residence life is for! Living on campus is the most beneficial and worthwhile choice for any college student. What's more, the research backs up their decision! Studies show that students who live on campus are more likely to graduate, more likely to be involved in activities, and report an all-around, more memorable learning experience. How can you say NO to that?!
Students are encouraged to live on campus so they can gain the greatest benefits from the total SWC educational experience. All single, enrolled students 22 years of age and younger (carrying 12 hours or more) are required to live on campus unless living with parents in the greater Phoenix area.
Come and join us on campus at Southwestern College. I guarantee that it will be a positive life changing experience!
